Which 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Is Right for You?

The compact SUV is arguably the most versatile vehicle on the market today. It manages to provide excellent passenger and cargo space while still being powerful, fun to drive, and easy to maneuver on crowded city roads. The 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe is an excellent example of that, and it is available in five different trims so you can select the one that most fits your needs and preferences.

SE Trim

The SE is the basic trim for the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, but you wouldn’t know it simply by looking at the list of specifications. Its features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, a rearview camera, stain-resistant cloth upholstery, reclining rear seats, and a noise-reducing windshield, among others. It also includes a 7-inch infotainment display and multiple smartphone connectivity options through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four USB ports, and Bluetooth. Audio features are handled by a six-speaker sound system with a CD player.

The standard trim also comes with many active safety systems designed to help the driver notice and avoid potential dangers on the road. It includes automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control with automatic emergency braking, a system that uses radars to monitor the speed of the car in front of you and automatically applies your brakes when your Santa Fe gets too close.

SEL and SEL 2.0T Trims

The SEL trim adds even more features, like leather upholstery, heated front seats and side mirrors, push-button start, and Hyundai’s special Blue Link connectivity system, which offers remote engine start, remote door lock and unlock, a navigation system, a remote car finder, and on-demand diagnostics and alerts. This trim also adds additional active safety systems, like the blind-spot collision-avoidance assist system and rear cross-traffic warning.

More optional features, such as roof rails, an upgraded audio system, and a hands-free liftgate, are also available via the Convenience and Premium upgrade packages. Selecting both upgrade packages gets you the SEL 2.0T trim and you will also be getting an upgraded engine, too. The 2020 Santa Fe’s standard engine is a more than capable 2.4-liter four-cylinder with up to 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded engine, however, is a turbocharged 2.0-liter that gets up to 235 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

Limited and Limited 2.0T Trims

The Limited trim has all the features of the SE and SEL trims, including the optional upgrades. On top of all that, it also adds extra features, such as 19-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touch-screen interface, dark chrome exterior trim and door handles, a heated steering wheel, and a special Blind-Spot View Monitor that reveals blind spots on either side of the vehicle, helping the driver detect any vehicle that may not appear in the rearview mirrors. Similar to the SEL trim, there’s an option to upgrade to the 2.0-liter engine.
