With the all-new 2024 Kona, Hyundai aims to simplify your life with its innovative in-vehicle payment service, Hyundai Pay. This feature lets you pay for items or services directly from your Kona’s touchscreen. As the technology expands to other models, you can securely store credit card information and complete transactions with just a few taps.

Right now, Hyundai Pay is designed to handle parking payments. We all know the frustration of finding parking and then figuring out how to pay for it. Does it accept coins or cash? Is a debit card required? Maybe there’s a machine, or perhaps it wants you to download an app, but there’s no service, and you’re already running late. If this sounds all too familiar, we’ve been there, too.

Fortunately, Hyundai always focuses on improving the driver’s experience and has partnered with Parkopedia to launch Hyundai Pay. This cutting-edge feature allows U.S. drivers to find, reserve, and easily pay for parking at more than 6,000 locations. Remarkably, you can handle all of this from within your Hyundai after a straightforward setup.

Debuting with the Kona last fall, Hyundai intends to extend Hyundai Pay to nine additional models through model year updates or seamless over-the-air upgrades. The Hyundai Pay platform is set to evolve, introducing new features and services tailored to electric vehicle requirements.

Hyundai Pay transforms the driving experience by seamlessly incorporating convenient payment methods into the vehicle’s touchscreen and Bluelink-connected car system. Hyundai Pay simplifies parking services by prioritizing customer convenience and safety and tackling the challenge of locating and paying for parking. Through the seamless integration of Parkopedia’s payment platform, drivers can effortlessly access and settle parking fees.

Parkopedia’s 2023 Global Driver Survey revealed the widespread difficulty many U.S. drivers face when searching for parking, emphasizing the need for in-car parking solutions. Hyundai Pay responds to this demand by offering a solution tailored to drivers’ changing preferences. With planned updates set to introduce additional features and services, Hyundai Pay signifies a substantial advancement in Hyundai’s dedication to providing top-tier digital ownership experiences.

Hyundai Pay How-To

To enroll, you must have an active Bluelink account.
You’ll also need MyHyundai with Bluelink.
Once you have all of the above and downloaded the app, select “Utilities” in the bottom left corner.
Under “Utilities,” you’ll select “Hyundai Pay.”
Follow the directions to enroll, which include agreeing to terms and conditions, selecting a vehicle, and adding a payment.
Enter your license place number, which is required when paying for parking spaces.
Select the credit card you’d like to use.
Make sure to add “Linked Merchants” so you can add parking and/or charging partners affiliated with Hyundai Pay.
Now that you’re registered and payment is set up, you can find a destination using your touchscreen.
Select “Search Near POI” and then select “Parking.”
Filter the search results by “Hyundai Pay” to locate available lots.
Select the desired lot and then the information icon.
To reserve a spot in this lot, click the Hyundai Pay icon. You can even enter the date and times you need to reserve the spot.
Once everything is correct, press “Pay” and enter your MyHyundai with Bluelink PIN to complete the transaction.
Set the parking lot as your destination and head that way!
