The 2021 Hyundai Sonata is turning heads with its beautiful, stylish design. Redesigned in 2020, its wider and longer body gives it a sporty look that impresses. The Sonata’s interior gives it an upscale look, but without the price tag. A five-star safety rating by the NHTSA, an expanded lineup, and other notable features make the Sonata the car to get in 2021.

Basics About the 2021 Hyundai Sonata

Originally released in 1986 by Hyundai, the first-generation Sonata never made it to North America and used engines from Mitsubishi and the Ford Cortina. Through the years, Hyundai has continued to make improvements on its design and its engine. Today, this eighth-generation midsize sedan is one of three Hyundai models built in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Sonata has five trims: the SE, SEL, SEL Plus, N Line, and Limited. Some notable features that are standard on all trims are the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping and Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and Android & Apple CarPlay. Also standard are the Sonata warranties, such as five years/unlimited miles 24/7 roadside help, seven years/unlimited miles anti-perforation, and more.

Pricing

The basic trim, SE, starts at $23,700 but if you decide to purchase all the accessories including the Winter Weather Package, it could cost you slightly less than $26,000. The SEL has a suggested retail price of $25,800, while the SEL Plus starts at $28,300. The new and impressive N Line, still with an affordable price tag, starts at $33,300 with the Limited trim just $200 more at $33,500.

New/Unique Features

What’s New

New to the Sonata this year is a new trim, the N Line. Those who enjoy driving on the fast lane will enjoy the sporty-looking N Line with its 290-hp turbocharged engine and 19-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with an eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters, the N unique front and rear fascia, sport front seats, and aluminum sport pedals.

The Sonata Difference

The Sonata, depending on its trim and options for upgrade, has some features that aren’t available on other cars that are in its class. The Blind Spot View Mirror, while not standard on all trims, is not available on other makes. The Rear Occupant Alert and Driver Attention Warning are standard on all the Sonata’s trims, but you won’t find them on other midsize sedans.

Complimentary Maintenance

A nice incentive to pick a Hyundai vehicle over competitors is its complimentary maintenance. Cars purchased or leased after February 1, 2020, can take advantage of this benefit, which covers the basic factory maintenance of the vehicle for three years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). This includes multi-point inspections, oil and filter changes, and tire rotations.
We know choosing a car isn’t easy, but the 2021 Sonata’s features give it an edge. It has the Hyundai reliability, an affordable price, and a sleek look. Stop by Crain Hyundai of Fayetteville today and test drive a Sonata. Our friendly staff will assist you with questions you may have.
