Which 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Is Right for You?

The compact SUV is arguably the most versatile vehicle on the market today. It manages to provide excellent passenger and cargo space while still being powerful, fun to drive, and easy to maneuver on crowded city roads. The 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe is an excellent example of that, and it is available in five different trims so you can select the one that most fits your needs and preferences. SE Trim The SE is the basic trim for the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, but you wouldn't know it simply by looking at the list of specifications. Its features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, a rearview camera, stain-resistant cloth upholstery, reclining rear seats, and a noise-reducing windshield, among others. It also includes a 7-inch infotainment display and multiple smartphone connectivity options through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four USB ports, and Bluetooth. Audio features are handled by a six-speaker sound system with a CD player. The standard trim also comes with many active safety systems designed to help the driver notice and avoid potential dangers on the road. It includes automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control with automatic emergency braking, a system that uses radars to monitor the speed of the car in front of you and automatically applies your brakes when your Santa Fe gets too close. more SEL and SEL 2.0T Trims The SEL trim adds even more features, like leather upholstery, heated front seats and side mirrors, push-button start, and Hyundai's special Blue Link connectivity system, which offers remote engine start, remote door lock and unlock, a navigation system, a remote car finder, and on-demand diagnostics and alerts. This trim also adds additional active safety systems, like the blind-spot collision-avoidance assist system and rear cross-traffic warning. More optional features, such as roof rails, an upgraded audio system, and a hands-free liftgate, are also available via the Convenience and Premium upgrade packages. Selecting both upgrade packages gets you the SEL 2.0T trim and you will also be getting an upgraded engine, too. The 2020 Santa Fe's standard engine is a more than capable 2.4-liter four-cylinder with up to 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded engine, however, is a turbocharged 2.0-liter that gets up to 235 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Limited and Limited 2.0T Trims The Limited trim has all the features of the SE and SEL trims, including the optional upgrades. On top of all that, it also adds extra features, such as 19-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touch-screen interface, dark chrome exterior trim and door handles, a heated steering wheel, and a special Blind-Spot View Monitor that reveals blind spots on either side of the vehicle, helping the driver detect any vehicle that may not appear in the rearview mirrors. Similar to the SEL trim, there's an option to upgrade to the 2.0-liter engine. Having been around for almost 20 years, the Hyundai Santa Fe has gotten better with each new model and generation because Hyundai has listened to its customers and has constantly improved every aspect of the vehicle. The 2020 model is the pinnacle of this development and is a reliable, versatile, comfortable, and modern car in any trim.

The SE is exceptionally well-equipped for a base model and includes features like 17-inch alloy wheels, a 60/40 folding back seat, and a six-speaker sound system, plus multiple smartphone connectivity options and driver aids. Higher trims add even more features, such as larger wheels, roof rails, Hyundai's Blue Link communication services, satellite radio, dual-zone climate control, exterior style additions, LED headlights and taillights, a hands-free liftgate, wireless smartphone charging, a panoramic sunroof, automatic wipers, and much more. more Two Powerful and Versatile Engines The standard engine on the 2020 Hyundai Tucson is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's capable of producing up to 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. Although having this power and torque output should be enough for most drivers, if you feel like you need even more, there is a second engine type you can choose. The alternative is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with up to 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Both engines have their power transmitted down to the wheels with the help of a smooth six-speed automatic transmission. All trims have front-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option. Comfortable and Modern Interior The 2020 Hyundai Tucson offers a smooth and comfortable ride for all passengers, even on long drives. The suspension system manages to cancel out most bumps on the road, while the insulation keeps most wind, road, and engine noises outside the cabin. All seats are comfortable for passengers of any size, while the wide-opening doors make getting in and out quick and easy. On the tech side, the 2020 Tucson's infotainment system is both intuitive and easy to use. Smartphone connectivity is easily achievable, with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB ports, and Bluetooth all available as smartphone integration options. There are still many physical buttons and knobs available, as well as voice control, so the driver can access the car's main functions without taking their eyes off the road. Modern Safety Features Active safety features do a great job of informing the driver of any potential danger anywhere around the vehicle, greatly reducing the odds of an accident. The 2020 Hyundai Tucson has systems such as blind-spot collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, and lane-keeping assist to keep the driver alert and in control at all times. The Tucson will also keep everyone inside as safe as possible in case of a crash, as certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's five-star rating. The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is a great example of a truly versatile vehicle. Its multitude of trims, engine options, features, and driver aids means that you can configure your Tucson according to your particular needs and desires.

Crain Hyundai of Fayetteville SmartSense

Understanding Hyundai Smart Sense

Hyundai's advanced SmartSense safety and driver assistance technology improves your safety, makes driving less stressful, and increases your peace of mind. It monitors your environment constantly to protect you while you're driving, and it's available with the Kona, Kona Electric, Nexo, Elantra, Veloster, Santa Fe, and Tucson. Here are some of SmartSense's features and how to use them. Adaptive Cruise Control The adaptive cruise control that comes with Hyundai SmartSense monitors traffic with advanced radar sensors, allowing you to drive at high speeds without pressing the accelerator. It uses electronic stability control to activate the brakes and the throttle when needed. You can turn on cruise control with a lever on the steering wheel. When you release the accelerator, the vehicle will maintain its speed and a safe driving distance on its own. You can increase or decrease the cruise control speed by pushing the lever up or down and then releasing it immediately. For a bigger speed increase, push the lever up and hold it until the speedometer reaches the desired speed. To shut off cruise control, press the brake or the O button on the steering wheel. To go back to the preset speed, push the lever to RES+. To turn off cruise control completely, press the O button again. The optional smart cruise control can work at any speed, and you can adjust the following distance by using the button on the steering wheel. Hitting it four times moves you to the minimum distance, and pressing it a fifth time brings you to the maximum following distance. more Downhill Brake Control Downhill brake control (DBC) lets you drive down steep hills without needing to press the brake pedal. It slows the car down so that you can focus only on steering it. You can activate it with the button in the cluster in front of the gear shifter while your vehicle is moving at a low speed. The system will enter Standby mode, and it will work automatically if you drive down a hill. It also makes going down curved slopes and gravel roads easier. Lane-Keeping Assist This feature helps you stay in your lane by sensing when your vehicle is departing from the path and sending visual and audio alerts. It also helps you steer back to the center of your lane with power steering. It operates at high speeds, and you can turn it on with the LKA button to the left of the steering wheel. Blind Spot Collision Warning This SmartSense feature detects vehicles in blind spots and uses visual and audio warnings to help you stay aware of the traffic situation around you. Like lane-keeping assistance, you can activate it with a button to the left of the wheel.
